Believing in The Law of Attraction is Like Believing in Gravity

Like gravity, The Law of Attraction works regardless of whether you believe in it or don't believe in it. It's a powerful force in our universe. The above image is an artistic representation of a black hole.

In 1957 Earl Nightingale recorded The Strangest Secret, which became the first spoken recording to sell over a million copies. The principle message was, "You become what you think about."

In his novel The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho described the same ancient truth as, "When you want something the whole universe conspires in helping you achieve it."

In the DVD The Secret, we are told, "We create our lives, with every thought very minute of every day."

These are just a few examples of people exposing those who would listen to timeless teachings about The Law of Attraction. The Bible makes reference to it. Yogananda wrote about it, as did Napoleon Hill, Claude Bristol, and many others.

The lesson here is that rather than letting ego-mind randomly direct your thoughts and therefore your life, you need to practice mindful awareness each and every moment as much as possible.

It's possible to mindfully direct your thoughts and live your life purposefully. It just takes persistent practice and the willingness to take persistent action even when things seem completely hopeless.

That's one of the more interesting things about goal manifestation. After people keep going in spite of repeated major setbacks things often turn around. The universe seems a bit perverse that way.

The Law of Attraction Outline

Following are some steps that may be helpful in creating your life intentionally. The Success Principles by Jack Canfield is the best book I've read about this stuff. Get Jack Canfield's book and study it.

  • Get clear about what you want stated in positive terms. State what you want, not what you don't want. You're communicating with God-Self which is nondual and doesn't differentiate in that way. Remember, God-Self manifests what you habitually think about regardless of what ego-mind judges.
  • Write down everything you could possibly want to do or have in your life without any limits.
  • Decide what the key elements are that will make you happiest.
  • Create definite plans to manifest your most desired outcomes.
  • Use whatever resources you have available now and take persistent action. Act now. Let the process teach you.
  • Notice your results and do more of what is working well.
  • Focus your activities on that which produces the greatest benefits.
  • Take persistent action in the face of fear, sadness, doubt, and all the other ego-mind crap the comes up.
  • Do the things you fear which cannot injure you, such as public speaking, and fear is eliminated.
  • Be willing to give up the habits, things, and people who have been holding you back.
  • Take 100% responsibility for everything in your life.
  • Avoid feeling you are a victim or are being treated unfairly.
  • Look for the lessons and opportunities in all your interactions.
  • Notice when The Law of Attraction is working in your life and be habitually grateful.
  • Receive as graciously as you give.
  • Become an inverse paranoid and believe that the entire universe is conspiring on your behalf.
  • Get advice and feedback from supportive and knowledgeable people. This is masterminding.
  • Help others get what they want whenever possible.
  • Be unconditionally gracious and kind with everyone you interact with regardless of who they appear to be at the moment.
  • Be actively calm and calmly active in pursuit of your goals.
  • Hold your intentions lightly. Anxiety tends to frighten them away.
  • Know that what you want wants you.
  • Read self-improvement books.

Everything we see and believe in is a representation, including defined representations of God.

Individual and collective representations of God and religious constructs are products of belief.

Belief is a basic creative force.

Beliefs create experiences.

Sharing your beliefs here will broaden and deepen your spiritual awareness and the spiritual awareness of those who read your submissions.

Recognizing that we are one in God and the mindful channeling of our beliefs can create a positive and unifying belief system that is all-inclusive.
